Using data from 45,864 adults in England, Imperial College London researchers examined how Long COVID relates to employment and working hours. People with unresolved Long COVID had lower odds of being in paid work and higher odds of changing their working hours.

The team identified three symptom clusters: multisystem severe, fatigue-predominant, and anosmia-predominant. The multisystem severe group had the worst employment outcomes. The study was published in The Lancet Regional Health - Europe.
