This cross-sectional study from the University of Sao Paulo examined how long COVID relates to socioeconomic, clinical, and functional factors affecting work. Among participants with long COVID, 43.9% reported reduced work performance and 22.2% reported difficulty returning to work. Older age, being the primary household provider, and moderate-to-severe functional impairment were significantly associated with reduced performance, and severe functional compromise showed the strongest association with return-to-work difficulties.
